I believe a key to success is to never compromise on quality work and give the best service possible. I use a variety of tools to reprofile, regrind, and sharpen to give you the best performance. My DAD taught me almost everything I know about this!
Growing up in rural Nova Scotia I’ve been an avid outdoor enthusiast my whole life. My father is both a machinist by trade and an amazingly skilled outdoorsman. With this combined skill he was able to understand and learn what it took to properly maintain tools, including sharpening of work tools, blades and skates. He taught me everything he knew about it using time-honored sharpening techniques.
I’m able to sharpen with several advanced grinds including Convex, Flat, Hollow and Flat-Over Hollow. In addition, blades requiring minute attention using Japanese water-stones and other fine-edge techniques are some of my favorites to work with and a point of pride.

When a tool is sharp and in the hands of a skilled operator, it becomes an instrument of efficiency and safety. That’s what I think about when I think of quality sharpening. I sharpen more than just knives & skates, but the basic principles remain the same in creating that great “working edge”
